With over 10 years professional editing experience and a love
for the camera dating back to the black and white consumer
video camera days (PXL-2000), Jamie has been involved with a
wide variety of creative video productions that include
independent films, commercials, series pilots, actor demo reels,
wedding videos, corporate industrials and documentaries.
Born in Massachusetts, Jamie Michael Hobert moved out to
California with his parents and two older brothers when he was
still very small. Crying almost the entire flight across the
country, the Hobert family touched down in "the OC" and
immediately Jamie began making people laugh by falling asleep
right when the flight landed.
When he wasn't out competing in sports Jamie was in his room,
having been grounded for cussing out the ref, or the umpire, or
whatever official was "causing his team to lose" that day.
Growing up in an Irish household with 2 competitive brothers
made Jamie a tough competitor in all sports, however, it didn't
help his trouble "losing graciously." Eventually, he realized he
wasn't going to make it to the NBA, so he started doing what
always worked for him: making people laugh. Eventually, his
love of entertainment both in front and behind the camera
somehow got him a diploma from UCLA's School of Theater,
Film & Television.
Jamie will continue to learn new things every day and grow as a
filmmaker and as an individual...and as long as the Red Sox beat
the Yankees in September, you will always see him with a smile
on his face.
